The Clevedon Volunteer Fire Brigade has two Fire Police members who are fully functioning members of the Brigade except that they are not BA wearers and therefore cannot be Qualified Fire Fighters. They run out hoses, create portable dams, operate portable pumps, portable emergency lighting, administer first aid to the injured, undertake road control duties, run the Entry Control board, and attend to the needs of the firefighters (drinks, assisting with donning gear etc). The members also undertake community education projects and generally support the Brigade in all areas, including many administrative duties. The Brigade is not seeking to add further Fire Police members at this time, feeling that two is sufficient.
