The Gisborne Fire Police / Operational Support unit is almost 80 years old, and 3 of it's 4 members have 25 year gold stars. The 4th member receives their gold star in 2009. Members respond only to fires 2nd alarm or greater, and when requested to attend by the brigade. The unit's response vehicle is a 2002 Ford Econovan. The Gisborne Fire Police / Operational Support unit is currently accepting new members - please contact them if you are interested in joining.
