Mahurangi East brigade is a relatively new brigade situated on Mahurangi East Road in Snells beach. The 1st meeting was held in January 1999, with the fire station officially opened in May 2002. The brigade strength is maintained at around twenty five active members, which includes four fire police. The brigade has one appliance 981, one tanker 9876, and also a fire police van 9833.
