| New Plymouth Fire Police |
New Plymouth Fire Police held its 81st AGM in April this year. The unit trains every third Monday of the month and hold bi-monthly meetings on the second Monday of the month. Their member numbers have remained steady over the years at about 10 - 12. The unit currently have 5 Gold Star members with another three to receive theirs late this year / early next year. They have just put a new truck on the road at the start of the year, which was kindly sponsored by the TSB Bank and local businesses. For the year 2006 - 2007, the New Plymouth Fire Police responded to 102 calls and put in a total of 645 hours.
