The Russell Fire Brigade have 3 appliances - a pump, rescue tender, and a tanker - and Fire Police tend to ride the trucks when available. Based in the heart of the beautiful north, the recent summer has been exeptional in Russell, and with warm waters, the game fishing has been excellent. Infact, Kiri Te Kanawa landed the first Marlin this season.
