| Tirau Fire Police |
The Tirau Fire Police unit is kept busy attending 140 calls a year assisting Putaruru, Matamata, Cambridge, and as a 1st response to Ambulance calls. Tirau 8533 is an ex-ambulance painted in the Fire Service colours and carries a ranges of medical equipment, all of which is funded and maintained by the Tirau Volunteer Fire Brigade. The members are trained in safety, first aid, traffic and crowd control and patient recovery.
